Through the generous support of University of Glasgow alumni, the Organising Committee are delighted to able to offer funding through the renewed H. H. Mooney Memorial Travel Award.
This award was first offered to presenters at the Sixth Postgraduate Conference in Conflict Archaeology (PGCA) in 2019. It enabled five students and early career researchers to attend the conference and present an academic research paper.
For Fields of Conflict XIII, the H. H. Mooney Award offers grants of £200 towards travel and accomodation expenses associated with attending the conference to present a paper. The award is principally aimed toward students and recent graduates with an interest in the material and experiential remains of human conflict.
Thanks to the kind generosity of the Mooney Family, the Organising Committee are also able to offer grants from a discetionary fund that is open to all speakers at the conference. The Committee is particularly interested in supporting speakers from marginalised communities, or others who may face challenges related to travel, such as individuals from outside the Global North.
